Time for a pitstop, but first, the best looking fuelie
in the business:
Checking out the brakes and axles....remember, this
car is based on an early chassis so it uses
the TRG custom heim-joint springplates...not in use
by most of the other teams who are using the 993 style multi-link suspensions.
Up close and dirtly during a pitstop....pit crew handles cameras too!
Driver advice but no swap.
After the pit stop #68 is still in 11th, second in
GT3 behind Alex Job 203 laps passed over and now two-and-a- half down on
Alex Job.
9:15PM - Car 67 hits the pits with a loose tail... left upper hinge came loose after contact with another car. It was only held on by one hinge and pin and literally about to fall off.
Duct tape and bailing wire... literally... whatever
it takes!
9:20 Standings #4 Corvette bows out and TRG 68 is now in 10th spot...just behind Alex Job in 9th and the margin has narrowed to 1.5 laps....only 2 GT2 cars are faster than the GT3 leaders....can am cars fill the top six spots.
9:34PM...Bruno pops the nose on the 68 car ands dashes
back to the pits for some cosmetic surgury.
It could have ben worse...much worse. Kevin
scrambles into his suit and a driver's swap is
undertaken while the crew slaps on what seems like
miles of Racer's Tape.
