In July 2006 at Watkins Gen Lydia’s fuel pump crush seal failed resulting in fuel spraying onto the undertray which then dumped on the rear tires coming up the toe of the boot causing a loss of control.
She hit the Armco at the top so hard her rib cage flattened the door outward and her helmet contacted the armco leaving a blue stripe. Her injuries, thankfully, were temprorary.
